Entrepreneurship as a term is usually linked to private sector business activity. Public and private sectors are not, however, disconnected areas in the realm of economy with no impact on each other, but interlinked in many different ways.

Even though entrepreneurship is not solely a private sector phenomenon, it is usually studied in the context of private enterprises. Entrepreneurship as a process can also be found in the public sector organizations, especially nowadays after several changes in the society, that have brought private and public sector organizations closer to each other.
