On October 16, voters elected Newark Mayor Corey Booker in a special election to fill the Senate seat left empty by the death of Frank Lautenberg. On November 5, voters returned to the polls, re-electing Governor Chris Christie in a landslide that many believe is the beginning of a 2016 presidential run.

The outcome of the elections will have far-reaching effects on us here in Bergen County, and our fellow New Jerseyans throughout the state.  Join us for an in-depth panel discussion of what those effects might be.

The panel will feature two highly-acclaimed observers of the political process:  Dr. Brigid Harrison, professor of Political Science and Law at Montclair State University, and a frequent commentator in print (including The Sunday Record) and electronic media on U.S. politics; and Dr. Peter Woolley, professor of Comparative Politics and co-founder and long-time director of PublicMind, the University's independent polling and research center.

The discussion will be moderated by William "Pat" Schuber, former Bergen County Executive and Bergen LEADS Seminar Director.
