Synetek Solutions Volunteer Center of Bergen County

Bergen LEADS is sponsored by the Volunteer Center of Bergen County, one of the area’s most respected non-profit organizations. Approximately 40% of the Bergen LEADS budget comes from tuition paid by the participants and their sponsoring organizations. The other 60% - including funds for scholarships that will assure diverse participation from all sectors – comes from corporate, foundation and individual donors.

An investment in Bergen LEADS pays dividends for you and for the community. Your support will be recognized on the website and in the Volunteer Center annual report. Funding will be used for curriculum development, seminar materials, assessment tools, subject experts, scholarships, class projects and program support. All monies contributed in support of Bergen LEADS will be restricted to the Bergen LEADS program.

We invite you to invest in the future of Bergen County by supporting Bergen LEADS. We have detailed several options here, or would be happy to craft an investment plan to meet your specific giving objectives. To discuss your options, please contact Beanne DeGuzman, Bergen LEADS manager at 201-489-9454 x112 or

Each Bergen LEADS class undertakes an annual project that addresses a critical community issue. The Forum is followed by the Celebration of LEADers, a ceremony recognizing the graduating Bergen LEADS class and introducing of members of the next class.

To become a sponsor of the Public Forum and Celebration of LEADers contact Melissa at or 201-489-9454.

Since the inception of Bergen LEADS, 57 participants across five classes have been awarded $52,800 in scholarship assistance. The ability to provide scholarship assistance is critical to our goal to ensure diverse representation from all sectors.

A gift of $2000 will underwrite tuition for one participant. We welcome gifts of all amounts, which can also be made in honor or in memory of a loved one.
